Having fallen in love with the beautiful and breathtaking countryside of Derbyshire, this book of walks has something for all age groups: from short level walks ideal for families with young children, to the longer and more robust walking experience. Enhanced with colourful descriptions of the areas history and what to look for in the local flora and fauna, the walks are fully illustrated in colour. These added details of the area create an atmosphere and feel for our rich Derbyshire history.

Detailed maps provide a good overall view of the walk before you begin, with easy to read info-graphics. Suggestions for refreshment include pubs with local beers and a warm welcoming  fire, and tearooms serving sumptuous cakes and light bites. There are also parking suggestions, and in some cases details of local bus routes. In all, this is a book with a difference, written from Ramblers deep love and in depth knowledge of some of the most inspiring and stunning areas of Derbyshire.

There appears to be an error in the walk instructions for walk 9 “Through Chatsworth Park. Instruction 6 states “unless following the Baslow alternative, turn sharp right” whereas it seems that you should turn left!
